About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and service-oriented Junior Cigar Sommelier to join a luxury hospitality environment in Doha. This role supports the cigar lounge operations by assisting guests with cigar selections, maintaining proper storage conditions, and delivering a refined and knowledgeable service experience.
Key Responsibilities
Assist guests in selecting cigars based on preferences, flavor profiles, and pairing recommendations.
Support the management of the humidor, ensuring optimal temperature, humidity, and product presentation.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of cigar brands, origins, tobacco types, and aging processes.
Provide guidance on cigar cutting, lighting, and etiquette.
Ensure lounge setup, cleanliness, and ambiance meet luxury service standards.
Monitor stock levels and support inventory control and ordering processes.
Work closely with beverage teams to suggest appropriate drink pairings (spirits, wine, coffee, etc.).
Follow all health, safety, and local regulations related to tobacco service.
Deliver personalized, discreet, and high-end guest service at all times.
Requirements
Previous experience in a cigar lounge, luxury bar, or high-end hospitality environment.
Foundational knowledge of cigars and tobacco products; formal cigar sommelier training is an advantage.
Strong guest engagement and upselling skills.
Well-groomed with a professional and polished demeanor.
Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
Passion for luxury hospitality, cigars, and premium beverage culture.
