About the Role
We are looking for a qualified and safety-focused female Sailing Instructor to deliver professional sailing instruction while also supporting water safety operations. The role combines coaching responsibilities with lifeguarding duties to ensure a secure and high-quality watersports environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct practical and theory-based sailing lessons for beginners and intermediate participants (adults and youth).
Ensure all sailing sessions follow international safety standards and local maritime regulations.
Provide water supervision and lifeguarding support during activities and open water sessions.
Deliver safety briefings and enforce correct use of sailing and personal protective equipment.
Supervise participants on land and water, maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Assist in rescue procedures and emergency response when required.
Carry out routine checks of boats, safety gear, and equipment, reporting maintenance needs.
Support regattas, sailing events, and training programs.
Promote water confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students.
Requirements
Recognized Sailing Instructor certification.
Valid Lifeguard certification (pool and/or open water) with First Aid & CPR.
Proven experience teaching sailing to individuals or groups.
Strong knowledge of sailing techniques, small craft handling, and marine safety.
Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor marine conditions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional, patient, and safety-oriented mindset.
