About the Role

The Sales Manager – Government is responsible for developing and managing government-related business, including local entities, ministries, embassies, and semi-government organizations. The role focuses on building long-term relationships, driving room and revenue production, and positioning the hotel as a preferred partner within the government segment.

Drive strategic sales initiatives to increase revenue and grow market share within the Abu Dhabi government segment.
Develop and sustain strong, long-term relationships with key government entities and senior decision-makers.
Track market trends and competitor activity to uncover new business opportunities and revenue streams.
Work closely with marketing, operations, and internal stakeholders to deliver customized solutions aligned with client needs.
Track sales performance, prepare accurate reports, and deliver reliable sales forecasts.
Represent the organization at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and market presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in sales, preferably within the government or institutional segment.

  • Proven ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of the Abu Dhabi market and government procurement processes.

  • Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office; fluency in both English and Arabic is required.

  • Industry-specific experience and a well-established UAE/GCC professional network are highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated success in managing and expanding government accounts with a strong performance track record.
